ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background and be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining business applications, enterprise software solutions, and system integrations.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, System Analysts, Business Users, Architects, and fellow Developers to gather requirements, design technical solutions, develop new functionalities, and enhance existing systems. You will play a key role in supporting and improving our Odoo ERP platform, developing custom modules, integrating third-party applications, and building scalable software solutions that support the company's business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and business solutions.
- Customize and enhance Odoo ERP modules based on business requirements.
- Develop new Odoo modules, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
- Integrate Odoo with third-party systems, APIs, payment gateways, and external platforms.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and web services.
- Document APIs and technical specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Review technical designs and provide recommendations on architecture, approach, and estimates.
- Troubleshoot software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain and improve software quality, security, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing support activities.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with Python development.
- Experience developing and customizing Odoo ERP modules.
- Knowledge of Odoo framework, ORM, workflows, and reporting tools.
- Experience with API development and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and Web Services (SOAP and REST).
- Experience documenting APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of OAuth and API security best practices.
- Experience with Java/J2EE applications is an advantage.
- Experience with Spring MVC and Spring Security is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
- Understanding of client-server architecture and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Linux server environments is preferred.
